Dimensioning using profilometry<\/em>.<\/span><\/h2>\n

This technology is based on topography, which can be defined as the morphology or configuration of a surface. All surfaces contain irregularities of different wavelengths that are superimposed on the shape of the part.<\/span><\/p>\n

The principle of the contact profilometer is that a stylus moves over the surface to be measured at a constant speed. A load is applied to the probe to ensure that it does not lose contact with the surface. The movements are transformed into an electrical signal that is converted into digital information that can be displayed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main application of this system is the control of the surface finish, but also of the shape of any type of volumetric parts.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
